Tri-County Divers Down Scuba Club Promoting Safe Diving Our purpose is to promote safe diving. We accomplish this by proactively offering diving opportunities in the pool during winter and open water most of the year. We improve local sites by installing structures to dive on. We keep our members informed and local diving and in touch with dive buddies. We sponsor the “Discover Scuba” program in Galesburg annually to help promote interest in scuba. We promote local diving to help members stay tuned up on their skills. Some of our members provide assistance to the Knox County Sheriff’s Search and Recovery Team.
So Why Should I Join?
Our members dive more than other divers. The more you dive, the better your skills become. The more comfortable you are in the water, the more you’ll enjoy your diving whether you are in cold water or the Caribbean.
Local diving lets you hone your skills so you can feel like a pro when you dive warm water! Members are more likely to have higher levels of certification because they dive more and recognize the need for better training.
Diving is Fun
Like any other sport it is fun to share experiences. The Club makes it more fun because members are familiar and interested in what you see.
